No pierdes nada y puedes ganar mucho!

Paying attention...

Mindfulness is an ancient Buddhist discipline focused on the practice of Paying attention.
Western culture has included this discipline in many areas to recognize its health benefits and stress reduction, and also for the well-being of practicing it for an ever more conscious life.
Paying attention to thoughts is the first principle of the series  Mindfulness I'll present in the next blogs.
I want to start by inviting you to do an exercise now. Look at the picture in this blog. What thoughts come to you?
Every thought is an action. When we think, we put words, symbols and above all feelings, emotions from the past, present and future into every part of our body. Each cell is activated with that thought. Moreover your mind begins to feed on that thought, shape, color, space. Your spirit responds even to those thoughts, in the way you relate to God, nature, with yourself and with others. For example, if you thought about the photo: "What a beautiful place! I wish I were there instead of this office, house, city ..." Those words have generated a huge thinking process in you. Perhaps a mixture of frustration, anger, memories of the past, future desires, etc.
Paying attention to those thoughts, whatever they are, is already a good start to begin to live consciously. You do not lose anything and you can win a lot! The effect on our health is immense when we begin to take responsibility for our thoughts with the simple act of paying attention, because thoughts are the first form of action.
As homework, meditate for five minutes. In silence and in a place where you're uninterrupted, take three conscious breaths.  Place your right hand on your heart, send thoughts of love to yourself. Expand the thought of love to your family, friends, neighbors, city, country and the world. If it's hard for you to do,  just pay attention !

Your comments, suggestions and questions are very important to me.

It starts Now!

Time for love!

Time for love.

February is the month of love. Valentine ‘s Day is a grand celebration in many places around the world. On this day, people feel the need to express love to some special one and significant others, connecting with the feeling of love and feeling in love.
As a relationship coach for singles and couples for many years, I see many examples of people expressing love and connecting with their natural feelings.
I just want to suggest four things to consider this month, and invite you to practice the rest of the year. I call these the four ways of love.

First. Create space to be with yourself. Do you know enough about your needs? Do you provide yourself kindness even in difficult times? Do you know how to be present with yourself?
Second. Find the right moment and person to whom to express your love. Are you feeling alone in your situation? Do you know how to ask for help? Do you have at least somebody to trust?
Third. Keep and maintain the love light in your relationships. Have you expressed your feelings of love to others? Do you like to give love only if you receive it? Are you stuck in a past relationship?
Four. Cultivate love and share it. Compassion and empathic feelings flow easily when you are aware and awake in the first, second and third ways of love.
Love is a natural gift to everyone. Go back to your natural self and explore you own ways of love.

This is time for love!

Matrimonios apasionados!

Don’t do too much, go slowly!

Being angry, hurried, overwhelmed, fearful, worried, concerned, sad, or extremely happy are some of the common feelings during this last month of the year for some people. I have felt some of those myself and I have observed that most of us experience them. I have my own reflection about this that I want to share. I think that because December is the last month of the Gregorian calendar, this season holds all that we have been carrying throughout the year: successes, failures, losses, wins, illnesses, opportunities, frustrations, abundance, growing, complaints, physical changes, and more. I believe that if I haven’t paid attention to those experiences, if I ignored or repressed those feelings, I might have a very difficult December.

However, I think it’s not too late. Start to pay attention now. Let yourself remember everything that you have carried the rest of the year. However, I suggest that you not stay there, just honor and remember those feelings for a moment and create a space for them during this season. Try to be calm with your thoughts, feelings and actions. Forget yourself if you need to and let them go! Visit your friends and family, and take a mindful walk and converse with them. Ignoring the accumulation of the feelings around these events throughout our year can bring very negative results such as depression, anxiety, hostility and violence.

Begin to be aware of your own stuff. Take care of yourself and at least in this holiday season try not to do too much. Go slowly!

Happy Holidays!

Y no olvides decir: Gracias!

Feliz Día de Acción de Gracias!

Happy Thanksgiving!

The gratitude of acknowledging and appreciating life is an everyday practice. Every new sunbeam of the morning represents a breath of hope. Even on cloudy days, remember, the light always appears!
Blessing the new day and the end of the day is an act of gratitude.
Knowing how to give thanks is learned during childhood and never finishes. I remember that when my son started to talk, I taught him the most important words that I called magic words: please, sorry and thanks.
Take a moment to appreciate and be grateful for all that life has given you. And don’t forget to say: Thanks!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Fe
