As I was walking the dog the other day, reflecting on life, the following thoughts came to me:
1) Declare an end to emergency. The election is over, various crises have passed, and it's time to no longer live in a state of emergency. Continuing to live in emergency is unhealthy and harmful in a variety of ways: physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. It is a habit that can be broken with conscious intention and will. Remind yourself that you are OK, really OK, and be mindful of the plenitude of positivity that is available everyday for your nourishment. Be well. Be happy. The emergency is over now.
2) Invest in reversing entropy. According to the Second Law of Thermodynamics, the amount of entropy - disorder - in any isolated system will only increase over time. That mess in the garage that seemingly only gets worse? The weeds in the yard? The flaking paint on the house? The once-beautiful home that now seems only to need more and more attention? That's entropy at work. The good news is that as long as you're there, it's not an isolated system. With your energy you can reverse the disorder and make the world around you beautiful again. Invest your energy. Invest your love. You will enjoy the result.
Blessings,
Tom
